Carolina leadership Share Him
.

“Who would like to participate in preaching a ShareHim Homeland Campaign?”

Hands were enthusiastically raised high when the call went out from Carolina Conference president Jim Davidson to the Carolina Conference directors, associate directors and members of the Executive Committee.  It wasn't just talk, it was action! For three weekends in March these volunteers spread out over the Carolinas to preach the gospel. Here are some of their testimonies:

Marlene Morgan, Assoc. TreasurerIf you want to receive the most wonderful gift….try doing a ShareHim crusade. My brother-in-law, Leo Smith and I were presenters at the York church. When you pray for the Holy Spirit to be with you and to provide the words, then the major battle is won! The unique part of this gift is sharing the beautiful story of Christ and seeing eyes fill up with tears, with the love of Christ beaming from listeners' faces! Nothing will ever out-give that gift!

David Kidder, President/CEO, Carolina Adventist Retirement Systems, Inc.—When asked to participate in the ShareHim series at Foster Church, my initial response was that my schedule would not allow it. However, when the young adults of our church agreed to assist in presenting this series, their enthusiasm was contagious! I could not say no. The experience has benefitted me personally, requiring me to study even more and it has reaffirmed how close we are to the second coming of Jesus.

Sam Bonham,  Executive Committee Member—IAs a speaker for this campaign, I was encouraged to witness the commitment of church members and visitors who were present for each presentation. Several expressed how they were blessed by the clarity of the message. People are truly hungry for, and searching, for Bible truth. The campaigns also served as a time of revival and spiritual reaffirmation for church members. No doubt, God has blessed the campaign, and a harvest is imminent.

Bob Self, Church Development and Community Services Director—At our first ShareHim meeting in the small church north of Asheville, David, an elderly gentleman sat alone in the pew. One of five visitors, he shared his story with me. His voice was barely audible due to surgery that had paralyzed half of his vocal cords. Though raised an Adventist, David left the church as a youth, joined the military and strayed away from God. His eyes filled with tears as he told how God had mercifully provided treatments for lung cancer that kept it from affecting his right lung. The church has embraced and loved him. After the pastor and elders anointed him in prayer, he made his decision for baptism.

Gary Moyer, Executive Secretary—Great meetings at the University City Church! Members and visitors were very appreciative of the presentations, and even the members learned some new things. On a number of occasions the subject we presented was just what members needed for someone they were studying with. We were blessed with six decisions for either baptism or rebaptism. As co-presenters, Rick Russell and I experienced revival in our own lives.

Bonnie Davidson, Shepherdess Coordinator—I never thought God could use a timid person like me to preach an evangelistic series. Each time I have had the privilege of sharing His message of love and hope it overwhelms my own heart and makes me want to Share Him even more. If I can do this, everyone can. I want to do everything I can to hasten His coming. If you want Jesus to come soon, trust Him, surrender to Him and ShareHim!

Ernie Boughman, Executive Committee Member—Faith Durkin and I, along with some welcomed support from our spouses, Martin and Sandy, were privileged to present the ShareHim meetings at the Columbia First Church. We felt the Holy Spirit present at our meetings and we praise God for how He blessed. During our prayer session on the last Sabbath morning we were thrilled to learn one man had checked his card for baptism. Following the last meeting, we were overjoyed when another gentleman told Sandy and me that he wanted to be baptized. He said this was an answer to his mother's prayer of 57 years.

Robert Crux, Assoc. Executive Secretary—We were pleased at how the Thomasville, NC, church supported the meetings! The attendance averaged just over 60% for the entire series.  Some of the regular attendees were newly baptized members from a previous evangelistic series. They especially appreciated hearing Bible prophecy again, commenting on how clear the Bible is  regarding the events leading up to Jesus' Second Coming. Perhaps the most special time was after the “Going Home” presentation when the group stood together, joined hands to pray and made a commitment to meet together in heaven.
